Black Acid Souls

Chubbs, Flakey and Gruff were brought up in a family of musicians with their mother being the singer in Cascade. Chubbs joined his mothers group in 1997 as the lead guitarist. In 2000, it was time to cut loose and Chubbs formed his own band called Jagged. After some early line up experimentation, things started to happen and the band undertook a period of intense gigging in the Midlands at venues including The Barfly. Record companies started taking interest. A tour of the USA was quickly arranged. But due to singer and drummers lack of commitment it all came to an end. Most people would have crawled in a corner to lick their wounds, but not Chubbs, Flaket and Gruff. Late in 2007 the three brothers decided to make a fresh start and change the whole set up. Musically strong and attracted to the metal genre, the boys wanted a new sound honed from putting together their own secret recipe of hard rockin' guitar harmonies, aggressive vocals and full-on drums. And so Black Acid Souls were born. Flipper was recruited from Budacaan to add youthful excitement on drums. After trials and errors in 2008, Flakey moved from bass to vocals to give a unique edge to the sound and Gruff moved from guitar to bass. The final ingredient of the "secret recipe" was another lead guitarist to trade riffs with Chubbs. Tweek was recruited and fitted in immediately; the magic key that completed the puzzle. Now it felt right; they could feel the energy off each other and the excitement grew straight away. Black Acid Souls had arrived. Up against over 10'000, they reached the UK Semi Finals of Live and Unsigned. This aggressive, yet melodic hard rockin' Metal stands out as not only different, but fresh and exciting. Black Acid Souls have risen from a cast metal pedigree to create a new "hard and heavy" genre all of their own and are happening NOW. Be prepared to be slapped in your face and dragged from the gutters!
